Okay, this is super cool and super simple. Need an easy way to setup an easily sharable schedule for your Joint Information Center? Go figure that there’s a free online site that does the trick – it’s called FindMyShift.com.

In most of the JIC’s I’ve set up, we just scribbled names on a white board and hoped everyone absorbed it.  If you’re lucky, someone has setup a spreadsheet that gets emailed out to everyone.  Well, now you can use this online tool and make your public information officer schedule in a jiffy!  Even better, it’s simple to do on-screen editing and you can text message staff directly through the schedule.  How handy is that!

I think the best feature of this is that everyone can access it anywhere they have internet access.  So if your staff is at home and can’t remember who’s covering what shift, all they need to do is go to a web page and bring up the schedule.  And, when you make changes to the schedule you can send a message to either selected staff members or everyone.

For those that just like to have a hard-copy of the schedule for each day, there is also an option to download your schedule as Excel or HTML file.

  • No software or installation needed – it’s all done through a web browser
  • Drag and drop schedule items with your mouse
  • Text messaging within the schedule.
  • You can track your day-to-day expenses with built-in report.
  • Free account includes all  features with one week forward and backward scheduling limit
  • Try demo account here.

There is a paid version of the schedule which allows you to setup more than just a week ahead.
