Creating an effective media relations plan is easier than ever in today’s web 2.0 world. Although the traditional tools and techniques we used to settle with aren’t quite as effective today, the good news is that you now have the ability to reach your audience directly through social media tools such as blogs, Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, and more. That means that if you build an effective plan using a wide range of tools in our toolbox, it can be wildly successful. And yes, that means YOU can be wildly successful in ways you would have never imagined before.
I had the pleasure of joining a team of experts at the 2009 National Conference on Volunteering & Service where we helped participants understand:
- Media Relations Fundamentals
- Today’s Media Landscape
- Working with Media
- Creating Your Story
- Telling Your Story
- Traditional Approaches
- On-Line/Digital Approaches
- Case Studies
If you happened to be in our workshop, a sincere thank you for taking the time to listen and ask questions. If you weren’t, no worries – because I’ve uploaded our PowerPoint presentation developed by Eric Borsum and his team at PainePR and embedded it below. There’s lots of information included in the presentation that can help you become an even more successful communicator. Is this helpful? What else can we help you learn about? This is a great presentation, but if you could also have audio along with it, that would make it perfect.
